Finally got to use it for the first time a few weeks ago, and I was really impressed

This one is reasonably-priced and full of premium-quality features that you might typically expect to find in a high-end baitcasting reel combo

A buzzbait can be great in the early morning hours or before sunset, especially if you have debris in the water that would foul up the treble hooks on a popper or a walking bait

Second I have in my group an ultracast 5500c with a 990604 on the foot, and this one reel amongst many has a screw that goes into the reel post instead of the E clip that all the rest have and also an odd spring piece as part of the bail mechanism, and I cannot get the bugger back together or figure how the spring sets when I need to re-assemble

Previously gloss blanks with black bindings, the Veritas always looked quite smart to me, although there are a few fishos out there that just do NOT like the white

These things are quality no problem and they hook up fish that's for sure
