It's nothing that prevents them from working properly, but just one example, the reel handles will all have several cuts, scrapes and shallow gouges in the reel handle material, this is due to the fact they no longer put the handle, inside a plastic sleeve, it just sits loosely in cardboard and the device they designed to hold the handle still inside the package, also made of cardboard, clearly doesn't work
